For nearly a decade, Create! Magazine has championed contemporary artists from around the world, and this spring we're celebrating the heart of creative life with an open-themed call exploring The Artist's Studio.
About Square One Gallery
Square One Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in the historic Central West End of St. Louis, Missouri. Established in 2024, Square One Gallery strives to showcase contemporary artistic voices while connecting St. Louis to the greater international arts community with a diverse, global roster of exceptional artists.
At their core, they uphold the idea that without the artist, there would be no art. Rooted in their beliefs of transparency and honesty, they work diligently to cultivate long lasting relationships with artists and collectors alike. Their mission is to preserve the integrity of the artist as a steward of creativity for generations to come, while offering a knowledgeable collecting experience to guide acquisitions in a fair and open manner.
With a robust exhibition program, collaborations, and cultural projects, Square One Gallery is committed to ensuring artists continue to lend their vital talents to inspire and enrich the world.
About the Theme
While the title is "The Artist's Studio," this is an open-ended call. We invite you to interpret the theme in the broadest sense possible. We are not looking for a specific subject or style; instead, we are looking for work that reflects the honest nature of your current practice.
All subjects and mediums are welcome. Whether your work explores your literal environment, the internal creative process, or simply represents the current focus of your "studio time," we want to see what you are creating now. We are seeking fresh, authentic voices that demonstrate a dedicated commitment to their craft.
