Issue #76 will feature the work of photographers exploring Home VS Away — with UNIQUE, LENS BASED methods.
Our 2026 season explores fresh directions in photography, examining contrasting themes interpreted through photographers’ lenses. This Call seeks submissions of fine art photography projects that present the idea of HOME, an experience of AWAY, or a juxtaposition of the two.
We are looking to PUBLISH — in print and online:
WELL-CONSIDERED SUBMISSIONS — This is a project or idea that you have laboured over
Diverse interpretations of this theme
FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY — NOT stock photography
Your ORIGINAL artistic work
Existing projects/works only. This is not a call for commissions.
Submissions are blind reviewed by our volunteer Curatorial Editorial board members.
When examining entries, judges will assess how the work presents a unique interpretation of this theme: Home VS Away.
Submissions are open to:
Students, emerging photographers, and established pros — worldwide*
photoED paid Patreon patrons and subscribers to our print editions may submit their work FREE as community members, and they will automatically receive a copy of this edition when it becomes available in April 2026.
OPTIONAL: Non-subscribers / non-patrons may opt to pre-purchase a single print copy of the Order VS Chaos edition as part of this submission. This fee is a pre-sale that covers our cost to produce and post you a single printed copy of the publication.
All entrants may opt in to receive free access to photoED Magazine’s digital replica edition of the issue.
IMAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Due to high submission volumes, entrants are limited to EIGHT images per submission. ONE submission per person.
Image files should be at least 2000px on their longest side. (We will contact you directly if your submission is successful for your approval and more detailed information about your work.)
File names MUST include your FIRST AND LAST NAME, e.g.: sam-smith-photo1.jpg, sam-smith-photo2.jpg...
Please keep file sizes no larger than 10MB each.
