Cash PrizeFor the seventh consecutive year, the French Ministry of Culture, in partnership with the international photojournalism festival Visa pour l’Image – Perpignan, aims to encourage women photojournalists to carry out or initiate a reporting project. Two grants of €8,000 each will be awarded by the Ministry of Culture/DRAC Occitanie.
Article 2 – Purpose
The Françoise Demulder Award is granted upon submission of an application dossier containing the documents and work specified in Article 6. It is open to two professional women photojournalists currently active in the field, regardless of nationality or age, who wish to undertake or continue a report with a social, economic, political, or cultural focus, approached through photojournalistic practice.
The award is granted to two individually designated photojournalists and not to a collective or group. The purpose of the award is to support the realization of a new project or the completion of an ongoing report.
Article 3 – Organization
Applications are free of charge.

In consideration of the €8,000 grant awarded, each recipient agrees to:
Complete her report before May 1, 2027, in order to allow for the possible presentation of her work as a projection screening or exhibition during the 39th edition of the International Festival of Photojournalism "Visa pour l’Image – Perpignan," which will take place during the first three weeks of September 2027.
In all cases, the parties will work together to determine the appropriate presentation and promotion arrangements.
Not submit the report to any other award, competition, or grant program before its presentation at the Visa pour l’Image Festival in Perpignan in September 2027.
Not publish any photographs produced as part of the project funded by the award before their presentation at the Visa pour l’Image Festival in Perpignan, unless otherwise agreed upon with the award organizers.
